WHAT IS Almost Playground STUDIOS

Mantle Monky Studios is a cozy one room home studio designed and built by Kyle Skarshaug upon relocating to Nashville from Miami in August of 2023. The studio currently focuses demo production and professional session recording; armed with a 24 channel analog console and enough space to track a full rhythm section live, Mantle Monky can accommodate almost any project!

In addition to running sessions in house, we also also have the capacity to travel and set up remote recording sessions in and around the Nashville area, in addition to running live sound.

 

SERVICES

 

  • Almost Playground Studios offers a wide range of recording options to fit your project. Despite being housed in a single room, the studio can record a full rhythm section live through an analog console, or record virtually anything in isolation for a more modern approach.

    Additionally, Kyle can serve as in house session musician playing drums, bass, and guitar to finish any songwriter’s demo or EP in house!

  • Almost Playground Studios also offers mixing services, specializing in indie rock, folk, jazz, and punk.

  • Our rooms is large enough to fit up to 6 people for acoustic or full band rehearsals!

  • Being a home studio, we offer access to a full coffee/tea bar with a wide selection of bean/tea styles and preparation techniques, in addition to a full kitchen!
